How to Get Healthy and Awesome Festival Hair

Festivals are an integral part of every Indian. When we want to relate festival and women folk we can feel the emotion of the women to do something attractive look either in the hairstyle or in the outfit or both together. Festivals are all about trying something different, especially when it comes to your hairstyle. Healthy and beautiful hair always gets more attention among the crowd.  And who else does not want to get more attention? It's that time of the year again when women of all ages look beautiful from head to toe. During Navaratri or Durga Puja, we all have a very tight schedule. You won't get time to clean again your hair for a good few days. So I have started my pre-festival hair-care. Well, Today I'm sharing with you some tips that will make your hair perfect for festival seasons.

 Pre-festival haircare:

  1. Haircut: We have a few more days. So give a new cut to the hair and get ready with a new look. You can experiment with your hair. But remember one thing, the haircut should according to your face shape. If you want to keep your hair long then if it is possible you can trim a little bit of your hair or make sure you get rid of the split ends that gives you a healthy shiny looking hair.
  2. Hair Color: It’s time to get something colorful. And coloring hairstyle never fails. It will bring color to your outfit as well as in your personality.  You can choose one color or two colors or as many colors as you can possibly think of. You can also do, just by dyeing a small part of your hair.  The style could easily work on any outfit and hairstyle.  Read more: 7 Ways to Colour Hair Naturally
  3. Oil your hair: Skip oiling to hair during festival time, as it makes you look dull. On the other hand, the oil keeps your hair moisturized, maintains hair original shines and softness so massaging hair oil is very important. I'm massaging oil thrice a week on my hair. It works wonders on my hair. So before starting the festival, start oil massaging.
  4. DIY Homemade Treatment: Apply hair mask and root mask to keep your hair texture healthy and shiny. The nourishing mask will get rid of the hair and scalp dryness.
  5. Hair Spa at Home: Doing your own hair spa at home is not very difficult task. Take hot oil that suits your hair and massage the entire hair root to tips for 10-15 minutes. This process increases the blood circulation. Next steam your hair well for 10-12 minutes. Now you have to clean your hair with mild shampoo. Post the shampooing, use a homemade conditioner or ready-made conditioner. For homemade conditioner, you can use the tea leaves water with a few drops of lime juice. Finally, apply hair mask. For hair mask, you can use eggs, honey, some coconut oil and ripe banana. This hair spa therapy at home makes your hair healthy, soft & shiny.

  1. Comb Your Hair Properly: If you want to look beautiful during festival then comb your hair gracefully and wisely.
  2. Temporary Hair Color: There are many hair trends that come to mind when we think of festivals. But there’s one trend that really to rock this year, vibrant temporary hair color. Yes, temporary hair color sprays are absolutely perfect for festivals due to their short-term effects and it is an easy and affordable option.
  3. Dry Shampoo: Navaratri and Durga Puja mean spending nine days for Navaratri and four to five days for Durga Puja without cleaning hair. In this case, you can use dry shampoo.Dry shampoo will absorb the grease in your hair and add volume,  to the roots, leaving hair fresh so there will be no need for you to wash hair every day.
  4. Hair Mist: Using hair mist during the festival time is another good option for you. The non-greasy, lightweight, spray-on formula hair mist gives you a heavenly refreshment and provides instant moisture to hair.
  5. Hair Accessories: The hair accessories are available in various styles, shapes, patterns, and designs. You have to choose the right one that goes well with your personality and outfit.  Using an accessory is an easy way to update your look.
  6. Hairstyle: Here I share some hairstyles for you to include into your festival fashion plan:
  • Flowers: Use of flowers are absolutely fashionable, no way to go wrong with this style. You just decide how to wear it. You can put a single flower in your hair or a flower crown both styles will look beautiful and very feminine.
  • Head Band: You can find headbands in any color and design. They can be styled in many ways.  Headbands are a great option for both, long hair or short hair. It will upgrade your look perfectly. Ponytail, braids, loose hair, buns any of them will work perfectly with headbands. But this style will be more acceptable with the western outfit.
  • Double Buns: You can also try this hairstyle, it is a very easy-to-do style. If you want to get a twist in your look then try messy double buns with your handloom saree and combined with your look any accessory.
  •  Side Pony Tail: This cute, casual option looks as good on long hair so you can try this hairstyle with any outfit.

Post-festival haircare:

Taking extra care of your hair, after a festival is absolutely necessary. The festive season not only makes you tired but the same time hair has a struggle a lot as you try different hairstyles, color,   and that dirt and mud with which hairs come in contact with ruin your hair quality. So back to your haircare routine with regular use of oil, shampoo, and conditioner. Besides, you can use a home-made damage control hair mask. You should avoid fine-tooth comb. Comb with broad teeth is to be the right option as they do not cause any further damage.

Well, with this minimal effort you will achieve awesome Festival hair look.
