Cleansing and moisturizing products are required for regular and proper facial skin care. However, the facial toner has a significant role in assuring you to have a clean and healthy skin. Many of us use homemade toner as well as a ready to use toner which are available in market. The main purpose of a toner is to re-balance pH of the skin after cleansing, hydrate and exfoliate. In today's post I will share my experience with Basiltone Toner from Lotus Herbals range, which is made for Combination to Oily Skin.
Product Claims:
Basiltone is a dynamic blend of basil leaf extract and cucumber extract which restores natural pH balance of combination or oily skin. Helps tighten pores and removes any residue of makeup, pollution or excess oils. As a result skin is clear, clean and fresh.
This toner can be toned your skin within one minute.
Direction for use:
After cleansing with LEMONPURETM, wipe face and neck with
cotton moistened with good quantity of BASILTONETM. Follow with ALPHAMOISTTM
for best results.
Ingredients:
Water, Glycerin, Cucumis sativa (Cucumber) extract, Ocimum
basilicum (Basil) Extract, Azadirachta
indica (Neem) Extract, 2-Phenoxyethanol, Methyl Paraben, Propyl Paraben, Fragrance.
Experience:
I've been using this product from this summer. In summer my
skin became combination type otherwise it looks dry. When I've used it in the
summer, this toner works very well. The best thing about this product is it
gives a cooling effect to the skin and absorbs into the skin very quickly.
After using this toner my skin feels clean, soft, fresh and hydrated. It helps
to remove extra makeup, dirt and excess oil without drying my skin. This toner
is very mild and I don’t find any cause of allergic reactions or any kind of
burning sensation to my skin.
The combination of the two natural ingredients cucumber and
basil gives a refreshing feel to skin. Cucumber extracts cleanses the skin and
make it smooth and soft. Basil leaf extracts are known from ages as a powerful
cleansing agent, anti-fungal, antiseptic and natural astringent. Both are a
great combination for maintaining natural pH balance of the skin.
This product smells very mild. I love the spray container as
well. In the summer, I've sprayed directly on the face and after few minutes
washed with plain water.
Recently I'm using this toner in the winter, but I did not
get the expected results. Actually, I’ve been facing a bit of dryness this
winter so when I applied it on my face my skin really felt more dry. So for now I
skipped this product for winter.
Overall, Lotus Herbals Basiltone Cucumber & Basil Clarifying & Balancing Toner is a very light, mildly fragrant toner that works great on combination to oily skin as claimed by the product itself. But not very good for dry skin. It helps in refreshing and cleaning skin. It’s completely worth its cost.
