DIY Natural Scrub for Oily Skin











This scrub is excellent for oily facial skin and also for shoulders, chest, and back. it doubles as a mask: Simply apply and leave on to dry for 20 minutes, then rinse.

1/2 cup ground oatmeal


1/2 cup almond meal


1 tablespoon sea salt, finely ground


1 teaspoon ground rosemary leaves


Astringent of choice


In a small bowl, thoroughly blend all dry ingredients using a spoon or small whisk, or shake them in a sealed plastic bag. Pour the mixture into a storage container. No refrigeration is required for dry ingredients, but for maximum freshness and potency, please use within 6 months.


Mix the scrub in a small bowl, combine 1 tablespoon of scrub for the face (more if you plan on using it for the body) with enough astringent to form a spreadable paste. Allow the mixture to thicken for 1 minute.


Using your fingers, gently massage scrub onto the face and throat. Rinse.
