Meditation is something that has kind of become a buzzword these days. Whether someone practices it or not, everyone talks about it and its benefits. Meditation teaches a person mindfulness and focus and helps clear the state of mind. In our current life schedule, every other person suffers from stress or anxiety issues, which, if not taken care of at the grassroots level, becomes a bigger problem. Meditation is one such habit, which, if practiced regularly, helps relieve stress and clears the state of mind. Additionally, it also helps fight depression and anxiety.

Meditation is a skill and an experience that helps your physical and mental state with positivity. It is basically a consciousness-practicing technique that rips numerous benefits when practiced regularly.

If you aren't really into meditation, you might initially find it challenging to cultivate the same. But then, trust me, it is not difficult. But to begin with, some of the steps which will help you cultivate the habit of mediation are:

  • Start slow: Everything comes with practice. When you plan to start your meditation journey, take baby steps. Do not overdo, and also, at the same time, do not over-expect. It's not a miracle that you will start reaping the benefits of meditation from day one, so be mindful and practice daily.
  • Fix a place to do the same: Meditation needs to be practiced in a calm and quiet place wherein there are no distractions. Hence, the first thing to start with is to fix one such place to help you cultivate the practice.
  • Set a routine: Set and follow a routine. Maybe thrice a week to start with? And a 15 minutes session every time? Once you start with this, you will get used to the flow and practice and make it an integral part of your lifestyle.   • Keep a blank mind: When you sit for meditation, start with a blank mind. Initially, I agree that might seem a bit difficult, but don't worry; this comes with practice. Once you get used to it, you will be able to do it smoothly!
  • Seek professional help: Various professionals/gyms give meditation courses. Now, if you are comfortable with regional languages, they also offer the same, the most common meditation in Hindi, which can help you with a good guide.
