How to Practice a Healthy Lifestyle During COVID-19 Pandemic

Due to Covid19, the lifestyle of the majority of us has changed in a way that we had never ever imagined.  That regular morning walks or hitting the gym, going for groceries, rushing to the workplace, late night-outs, everything has changed in an unprecedented way to staying indoors and locked in our respective homes and maintaining social distancing.

Well, in these difficult times, a lot of us tend to overstress ourselves with the rising number of covid19 affected cases, job loss, financial fallout, school closures, work from home stress, grief, and uncertainty about what the future holds. So, the most important thing that should be taken into consideration is a healthy lifestyle during this time to keep yourself fit and maximum immune to the novel coronavirus and also to keep stress at bay.
Here are a few things which we have listed down for you to incorporate in your daily routine to make the best out of this lockdown period and maintain a healthy lifestyle during this Covid19 pandemic:

Have a Balanced and Nutritious Diet:

Healthy foods help build immunity and thus keep you one step forward in the Covid19 virus protection ladder. You should include a variety of fruits with plenty of green leafy vegetables. If you are in a place that is not presently having the regular supply of fresh veggies or fruits try and include lentils, daal, nuts, healthy fats such as peanuts, sesame in your diet. Also, don’t forget to drink 8 glasses of water per day (preferably warm water).

Stay Active:

Staying active is important for both your physical and mental health. Even with being confined to home and gyms being closed, you can still practice indoor workouts, or yoga or meditations to keep yourself active. You can even engage yourself in indoor games, do indoor gardening, spend word puzzle! All of these will keep your brain active as well as occupied.

Be Positive:

Be surrounded by people who spread that positive aura around you rather than cribbing over the on-going crisis scenario. Exercise, meditate, read books, listen to music. Adjust your thought process to look into the better side of all negativities! I know it is easy said than done, but once you start practicing it, it isn’t that difficult too!!

Sleep Adequately:

A daily dosage of a minimum of 7 hours of sleep is a mandate for having and maintaining a healthy lifestyle. Trust me; your sleeping pattern also affects your immune system. So, make it a habit of getting that beauty sleep at the end of the day to keep you fit and charming.

Follow a Schedule:

Chalk out your full day activities at the beginning of the day and act accordingly. This will make sure that you remain engaged the whole day and also throw off the anxieties out of the head.

Remember, it’s very much natural to experience a wide range of emotions during such a time of uncertainty and change. Just be kind to yourself, be in touch with near and dear ones, and remember, “Good things are on its way”!!
