peppermint foot Scrub
Ingredients:
- 1-2 cups of sugar, the coarsest available or Epsom salt (the quantity range is because some brands and grades of sugar and salt seem to absorb more liquid than others)
- ½ cup of warmed coconut oil (or grapeseed or olive oil)
- 10-15 drops of peppermint essential oil
- 2 drops of green food colouring (optional.) I used 4 drops, but I think it’s a bit too dark.
Directions:
Mix them all together and pour into a jar. Use enough sugar or salt until you’re happy with the consistency.
Soothing Lavender Foot Scrub
Ingredients:
- 1 Cup fine Sea Salt or Epsom salt
- ¼-1/2 Cup Oil (grapeseed, sweet almond or olive)
- 8 drops Lavender Essential Oil
- 2 tablespoon dried Lavender Buds
Directions:
- Measure salt and lavender buds into a clean bowl.
- Add 1/4 cup of oil and stir until it is distributed evenly. If it seems to dry, add another tablespoon of oil. Continue adding oil until you are happy with the consistency.
- Add essential oil. Stir well.
- Scoop into a clear jar and label.
Sea Salt Foot Scrub
Ingredients:
3 tablespoons coconut oil
2 tablespoons humalayan sea salt
1 teaspoon chopped mint OR 2 drops of peppermint essential oil
Directions:
Mix all the ingredients together. Fill a foot bin or the bathtub with warm water. Apply the mixture liberally to the feet scrubbing in circular motions to slough off dead skin and to soften rough patches. Rinse off the scrub and towel off feet to remove any excess moisture – it can get slippery otherwise! For a super moisturizing effect, put on a pair of thick socks instead of toweling off your feet.
