As a native of the Northeast, I hold Assam Silk Sarees in a high level, making them a personal favourite. These beautiful sarees, also known as Paat sarees, are made of Muga, a sort of golden silk. Because of their lightweight, Assam Silk sarees are ideal for weddings and traditional festivities.

Kanjeevaram Sarees are a type of Tamil Nadu art. These are made of pure silk and have zari work on them. Kanjeevaram Sarees are preferred for weddings, traditional celebrations, and so on.

Traditional Kanjeevaram sarees can be upgraded by wearing them with a kurta. I know it seems strange, but trust me when I say it rocks.

These sarees are quite popular among both young girls and women. The net saree looks stunning with its zari, stone, and lace embroidery. At parties, lightweight Net Sarees are commonly worn at Mehendi, weddings and traditional festivals. So I kept this type of saree on the list.
Net sarees can be paired with crop tops or a peplum blouse twist to appear stunning during the wedding and festival season.

  • Georgette Sarees:

Because of its lightweight structure, Georgette Sarees are very easy to handle. These sarees are light and airy, making them excellent for hot and humid climates. Georgette sarees are also designed in an eye-catching manner. Half and half Georgette Sarees are highly fashionable these days. Elegant Georgette Sarees are ideal for parties, cultural programmes, and festivals.

You can also pair your Georgette saree and trousers. To create this look, drape a saree over a pair of leggings, trousers, or jeggings. Crop tops and peplum blouses look great with a Georgette saree. These twists and creative ideas give you a stylish appearance.

  • Handwoven Sarees:

I also want to keep handwoven sarees on this list. These are my favourites these days. Handwoven sarees are an attraction to India's textile heritage's rich tradition and craftsmanship. Each saree is a work of love, carefully created by experienced craftsmen with skilful hands weaving complex patterns and designs. These sarees are well known for their outstanding workmanship and timeless elegance, making them a popular option for special occasions and celebrations.

Handwoven sarees showcase India's cultural richness, from the bright Banarasi silks to the wonderful Kanjeevarams. Aside from their aesthetic value, these sarees benefit local people by providing employment and conserving centuries-old weaving skills. Handwoven sarees are more than just a piece of apparel; they are works of art.
